Cyst Detected. Me and My Breast Ultrasound.

For the past month, I'd been delaying untuk buat checkup for my breast. I found a lump at my armpit which to me nampak tak normal and sakit when i press. So I start googling and baca symptoms breast cancer, either occur tak at my condition. Still, I need to confirm because I have no idea that particular lump is a cancer or just a fat. For that reasons, I came across bloggers diarihatianaa.blogspot.com who shared her experience in handing the same situation. There are 2 ways to find out samada Mammogram or ultrasound. After reading hers, I decided to skip checking at Klinik Kesihatan (KK) and straight buat Breast Ultrasound.

I called up only 3 place. 

1. Pantai Cheras Medical Centre - In order untuk buat breast ultrasound, I need a reference letter for any doctor (government or private) which I dont have. 

2. KPJ Damansara - I read reviews from the earlier mentioned blog, the price is RM120 for both breast and I dont need any reference letter. Walk in and no appointment needed unless you need a consultation from a breast surgeon. 

3. BP Clinical Lab Cheras - They also x perlukan reference letter, price RM150 for ultrasound breasts and on that particular time, the lady only available after 2pm. (I requested a lady) 

After thinking, I decided utk pegi KPJ Damansara. Parking mmg a problem. Anyhow, the service is very fast. I been called only after 2 minutes I duduk. So the lady (very nice beautiful lady, seriously! she's 31 but looks 21!) bagi briefing sikit on how it will be done and all. Around 20-30 minutes, habis check. 

And because I tak amik consultation, so i just waited for the report. Tapi I rasa report tu understandable. Takdala nak kene ada doctor baca baru faham ke. Both of my breast normal cuma ada cyst on my right breast. A small one. At first i sangat takut like kene operate ke apa ni. Maybe because I'd been googling only on cancer so i have little knowledge on cyst (in fact nothing).

Drive back to office; did my homework (googling) and LEGAAAA! "Breast cysts don't require treatment unless a cyst is large and painful or otherwise uncomfortable"

What lesson that I learned? 

I sangat takut. Like crazily scared untuk buat checkup. So my husband pujuk pujuk pujuk pun I tetap takut. I give myself time untuk tenang and fikir banyak benda. What if Yes, What if No. So jumpa my Dr friend and seek her advice. So dia draw diagram (like above-my version) and let me decide. After 2 weeks, I decided to do the test selepas i sakit pegi jogging. 

I rasa takut is normal. But somehow we have to overcome it. Make yourself understand why you need to do it. 

Now i feel relief (Seriously!) and everytime I rasa sakit, I know its not a cancer.
